Babysitting Clinic

Third Friday of every month, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Diabetes Education Classes
Classes meet once a week for four weeks. Different topics will be covered each week.

During the months of January, March, May, July and September, class will meet on
Mondays, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

During the months of February, April, June, August and October, class will meet on Mondays, from 7-9 p.m.

Week 1:
“Overview of Diabetes, Complications and Monitoring,” presented by Pat Schummer, RN, MS

Week 2:
“Nutrition and Diet,” presented by Marilyn Csernus,
MS, RD, LDN

Week 3:
“Medications,” presented by C. Slingsby, Pharm D and
L. Brophy, Pharm D, and “Stress Management,”

Week 4:
“Exercise and Activity,” presented by Candy Ference,
Exercise Specialist, and “Foot, Skin and Oral Care,”

Childbirth Education
• Prenatal/Lamaze Classes: Classes meet for four consecutive weeks
and start on November 1. They are held in the St. Margaret’s First Floor Presentation Room, from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

• Sibling Classes (for 3-8 years olds preparing to welcome a new baby
into the family)- Classes will be held at 10 a.m. in Room 309. Dates for 2010: Oct. 2 and Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. in Room 309 at St. Margaret’s Hospital.

• ABC Prenatal Classes (for pregnant women in their first and second
trimesters of pregnancy), will be held Oct. 4 and Nov. 29. They will take place at 6:30 p.m. in St. Margaret’s First Floor Presentation Room.

St. Margaret’s Medication Review Service

St. Margaret’s Hospital's Medication Review service is 11:00 a.m. to noon in the hospital’s first floor DeAngelo Resource Room (rooms 104 and 105) on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  Participants are asked to bring in their prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.  Pharmacists will be available to discuss medications and potential reactions.
