The Charge auditor is responsible for Quality Improvement issues related to accurate assignment of charges to ensure optimum reimbursement form third party payer with efforts primarily in producing a “clean” bill prior to submitting the claim electronically.

Degree in Nursing; LPN or RN.  Knowledge of reimbursement system preferred.  Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and policies pertaining to documentation, coding, and billing preferred.  Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills required.  Excellent written, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills required.  Computer literacy required.

Cleans and maintains hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition, according to established procedures.  This includes disposing of trash, medical waste, and soiled linens, as well as dusting high vents, TV’s, cabinets, and other furnishings.  It also includes cleaning and polishing mirrors, glass, and stainless steel, as well as mopping floors and stairs and vacuuming.  The environmental aide also replaces soiled shower or cubicle curtains, cleans elevators, water fountains and coke machines.  They also spot clean walls, doors and windows as needed.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.  Must have good reading and writing skills and capable of following oral/written instructions.  Previous housekeeping experience in a health care facility would be beneficial.  Housekeeping certification is optional.

The Nurse Practitioner reports directly to the Vice President of Clinic Operations.  The Nurse Practitioner is also accountable to the President of the Hospital, Medical Staff, clinic patients, families and visitors. 

Eligible for certification in Illinois as a Nurse Practitioner.  A minimum of one-year experience as a general Nurse Practitioner in primary care setting. 

Maintain billing records integrity through filing, assembling, retrieving and maintaining patient confidentiality; helping with the process of the daily admission workload and maintaining manual and computerized records.

High school graduate or GED equivalent.  Requires typing and computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and good interpersonal skills.  Knowledge of ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, Medicare regulations and insurance billing helpful.

Greets patients and visitors at the main entrance (lower lobby.  Parks and retrieves vehicles in a safe, efficient manner.  Assists with loading and unloading packages, provides directions to hospital departments, and provides information and assistance for visitors and staff.
